GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Works independently to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY



  • Partner with existing accounts to increase retention, penetration and profitability.
  • Sell custom embroidered apparel to existing as well as new accounts from our SanMar catalog as well as consignment inventory of linen.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB (RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING)



  • Identifies accounts where revenues may be shrinking and formulate strategies to reach out to these accounts and retain customers.
  • Perform Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) with all assigned accounts: review usage reports, soil to clean reports, adjust patient days, etc. Looking for trends in usage, days scrubs were not turned in, total poundage per month trend and how that compares to hospital census.
  • Territory for new sales is Frederick, Montgomery, and Carroll County to grow the sales force database.
  • Call on 50 new customers per week on the Up To Date Healthcare division.
  • Review all AR and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Review cart log for any missing carts not being rotated through the laundry.
  • Address special care items such as NICU, Wound Care, Sleep Lab, etc. within the facility.
  • Complete performance reviews to rate our service.
  • Ask for references for other facilities.
  • Inquire about off-site facilities for the system or location.
  • Understand the exchange cart model vs. COG processing.
  • Assist with total linen management and support for the location.


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • Associates degree or 2 years equivalent Account Management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate accountability, the ability to execute, innovativeness, and urgency on day in, day out basis.
  • Travel required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Operation is a seven day work week responsibility and some weekends or off days may be necessary to complete tasks. Facility is a warehouse environment in which climate control outside of office areas can fluctuate.
